Since stalking lip service and reading every blog,fan fiction, tumbler and review of it I can safely say that I'am slightly obsessed by it but while reading DIVA (again)! I have come to the conclusion that A) That its basically the British version of The L Word and B) Every character can be directly linked to an L word character. 

Now when the L Word came out it was something that the lesbian and bi-sexual community had long awaited, a show that represented what it was like to be a gay women and the friendships and the relationship troubles that we face. Now we all know that with The L Word the acting wasn't the best and at times the story line was hard to believe (e.g. Tina getting with a Man and Kit dating a man whose a cross dresser). But for most we watched, we enjoyed the sex scenes between Bette and Tina and we generally followed the story line and though it was the biggest thing since sliced bread and dildos. Then nearly four years after the final episode of The L Word was aired ( Now that was the worst story line ever!) Lip Service was born and lesbians all over the world fell in love all over again and this is why.

Cat,Sam,Tess,Frankie, and the Irish one where the first thing that every one loved in Lip service. From the moment Cat appears on the screen to the moment that Sam is mentioned as being a copper we all had our favorites. But looking past the hotness and the fact that you would like to lay half the cast, they are all linked to The L Word's characters either by personality  or in Frankie's case the things they get up to when there not at work. Lets take Cat for example she can be compared to Tina as shes a workaholic, is   fairly new to the whole lesbian thing ( since she only has slept with Bette and Cats only just dating again after Frankie), both date hot women who have high flying jobs and both have a soft nature witch can only be defined as slightly wet. Also there's the fact that after Bette and Tina split up Tina still loved Bette and this is the same as Cat who still loves Frankie but is in a relationship with Sam, just like Bette when she is a relationship with Jodi!

Then there Sam, who can be likened to Bette as with Bette, Sam is in a reasonably high positioned job and wheres amazing power suits e.g. Bette's White Suit :) She also so has remarkable feeling for the person she loves even thought they are hung up on somewhere else. Both Bette and Sam seem to initiate the Sex scenes which lets be honest got us all hot under the collar, the Lift Scene and Sam throwing Cat on the kitchen service and her desk (WOW)!

Tess as am hoping some would have made a connection reminds me of Alice. Why? Well there both quite slow and they bring the humor into what would other wise be quite a dark show. Both are unlucky in love and both have jobs that don't really offer a lot of guaranteeing but you have to work hard to get what you want.

Frankie of Course is a dead ringer for Shane! Even right down to the I have cut my own hair hair style. They both sleep round with anything that has a pulse and they both claim to love someone even tho there still having sex with people they don't know. Both are from broken homes and both have an aversion to drink. They both like dressing like men and I hate both!

And Of Course season two made way for a host of new characters e.g. Lexi,Sadie ( Who I know was in season one but i didnt like her then and of course B but who can we relate them too?
